Description: The tractor shall be capable of completing construction and earthmoving tasks. These tasks include, but are not limited to moving, dozing, and ripping earth to perform both road building and site preparation functions, military earth moving operation s such as construction and repair of logistical facilities, roads, helipads, airfields, landing zones/strips, and similar civilian areas. The Army anticipates purchasing a mix of the following three types: Type I Tractor, Full Tracked, Air Assault by CH-47 Helicopter in one lift (Max. weight=16,000 lbs.) Type II - Tractor, Full Tracked, Light, Semi-U (straight) with Tilt type blade and rear mounted towing winch. Air Assault by CH-47 Helicopter in two sections (Max. section weight=16,000 lbs.) Type III Tractor, Full Tracked, Low Speed, Medium Drawbar, Tilt type blade, with rear mounted towing winch or 3 shank ripper. (Max. weight=39,600 lbs.)
