Description
This is A Request For Information, Not a Request for Proposals. The Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) desires to ascertain if there are qualified firms available to provide Legacy Conversion Services for an application in the Bank?s Legacy Mainframe Systems, as detailed in the attached rough draft work statement. It is anticipated that the work shall be performed off-site. We are seeking an automated conversion technology to produce a fully functional application that preserves the general functionality, business rules, business logic and operational integrity of the original application. The delivered application shall also be sustainable without requiring the availability of the contractor. No business process re-engineering will be conducted to revise the work process. Technology used in the new application shall comply with the Bank?s Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) model. To receive consideration, responses to this announcement should demonstrate the viability, reliability and efficiency of their automated conversion technology solution, including providing documentation regarding the installation and configuration of the new application. Responses should compare available application server environments and provide the Bank with recommendations on which HW/ SW platform is optimal for the converted system. EXIM Bank is soliciting detailed information from those contractors, regarding their capabilities and experience, that possess the relevant automated conversion tools, to enable it to determine the feasibility of issuing a solicitation to procure these services. Respondents to this announcement should identify the automated tool, list the number of projects in which it has been engaged for like conversions, the scope of those projects, the efficacy of the tool, the number of persons trained in it?s use and the experience level of those individuals. Respondents should provide a minimum of five (5) references for similar projects successfully completed within the last three (3) years. Responses which fail to provide sufficient technical detail or references will not be considered. Contractors may submit questions, however EXIM Bank does not commit to answer such questions individually or collectively. Point of Contact: Alvin S.
