Description
The Oregon Army National Guard is intending to sole source the following procurement to Vertical Reality of Miami, FL. A portable mobile clear climbing wall with breakaway trailer. This particular type of wall is a flat clear wall. This type of wal l is a 4 person climber and all 4 stations can be operated at the same time allowing for more traffic to flow through the display and therefore allow more potential applicants to use the wall and interact with recruiters. The clear design of the wall add s a great competition aspect to the climbing as two climbers can look directly at each other as they race to the top. The wall has a tow trailer that detaches from the wall during set-up thereby providing a smaller footprint than traditional walls. This allows more flexibility to set up the wall in places where a large footprint is not reasonable. The rock wall is also equipped with auto-belay, meaning the belay system is fully automatic, allowing two people to safely and effectively run the wall. In ad dition, National Guard artwork is to be placed between the layers of the wall. This will allow for the protection of the artwork and allow for easy visibility of the advertising in two directions from a greater distance. Logos will be placed at approxima te height of 20 feet. The wall is approximately 24 in height and is constructed of Lexan a polymer material and encased in steel construction. Individual weight load for each station ranges from 35 pounds to 275 pounds. Current market research has shown that no other company produces this type of wall. Contractors that can meet the requirements must be registered on the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database and be Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) capable. All inquiries are to be addressed to Mr . Pete Newell, 503-584-3763 not later than close of business on August 17, 2005.
