Description

Solicitation Number N00421-05-T-0171 is issued as a Request For Quotes (RFQ). The Naval Air Warfare Center-Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Air Traffic Control Division, St. Inigoes, MD 20684-0010, has a requirement for a ?Brand Name Mandatory? SAMSUNG product. Simplified procedures as described in FAR 13.5 will be utilized for acquisition of the required item. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334119, ?Other Computer Peripheral Equipment Manufacturing? with a size standard of 1,000 employees. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order for Commercial Items on a ?Brand Name Mandatory? basis to a Small Business for the Samsung product listed below under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Samsung is the sole manufacturer of the required product that is compatible with existing program equipment and will satisfy the Government?s minimum requirement for intended application. The ?Brand Name Mandatory? Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) and description for this procurement are: ** CLIN 0001 - P/N: 213T-Black LCD Display that offers a 500:1 contrast ratio, 1600 x 1200 resolution, pixel pitch of 0.270mm H/V, Xtrawide 170/170o viewing angle, scanning frequency of 30-81 kHz horizontal and 56-75 vertical - (Qty of 37 EA). ** THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES FOR ITEMS OTHER THAN THE BRAND NAME SAMSUNG EQUIPMENT LISTED IN THIS SYNOPSIS.** The Government will accept quotes from all responsible sources with the capability to provide the brand name product cited above and will award a Purchase Order resulting from this RFQ to the responsible vendor whose offer conforms to the solicitation and is considered to be most advantageous to the Government. Quote is due to Rosa Harding, Contract Specialist, Naval Air Warfare Center-Aircraft Division, Webster Field, Building 8110, Unit 11, Villa Road, St. Inigoes, MD 20684-0010, by 3:30 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, 22 August 2005. The Government reserves the right to process the procurement on a Brand Name Mandatory basis based upon the responses received.
