- The Direct Reporting Program Manager Advanced Amphibious Assault (DRPM AAA) has a requirement for Long Lead Materials (LLM) for Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) for the Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle (EFV). General Dynamics Land Systems ((GDLS) operating through its General Dynamics Amphibious Systems division in Woodbridge, VA) is the EFV designer and developer. As such, they have developed unique, highly specialized and pervasive knowledge, expertise, facilities, equipment and other capabilities regarding the design, manufacture, integration, assembly, and capabilities of the EFV. Acquisition of the LLM will support the LRIP phase of the EFV acquisition program. The Contractor will provide all required materials, services, personnel and facilities to design, fabricate, manufacture or procure the LLM required for the manufacture of EFV Production vehicles. Therefore, the Marine Corps Systems Command intends to contract with GDLS, the developer of the EFV, for t! he LLM. The contract is expected to be awarded in FY05. Deliveries will commence in FY06 and end in FY07. This notice is posted as an update to the original pre-solicitation notice in FEDBIZOPS, dated 12 March 2004.
