Description

The Federal Correctional Institution, Marianna, Florida, is seeking a contractor to provide services as a Dental Assistant to the inmate population. The contractor must be a certified Dental Assistant and possess certification in Expanded Functions to include dental radiology or have at least six months experience as a Dental Assistant. The resulting contract will be for a base period, not to exceed twelve months, with three one-year option periods to be exercised at the sole discretion of the Government. The number of one hour sessions per year is estimated to be 1500, depending on the actual date of award and the availability of funds. The solicitation will be available on or around August 25, 2005, and will be distributed through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be distributed unless determined by the contracting officer to be in the best interest of the Government. Future information about this acquisition, including any amendments, will be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The NAICS code for this requirement is 621399. All qualified responsible sources are encouraged to submit an offer that will be considered for award. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about September 23, 2005. Faith Based and Community Based Organizations have the right to submit offer/bids equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. This requirement is 100% set aside for small business concerns.
