- This is a modification to the synopsis entitled Tactical Intrusion Detection System (TIDS) NNK05115729R which was posted on 7/7/05. You are notified that the following changes are made: The purpose of this modification is to make the following clarifications: Central Station: 1. Is the government furnishing the serial port and driver for the Lenel On-Guard Security Management System? Answer: The bidder must provide a system that already has a Lenel interface developed. It may be either serial or API but must be Lenel approved. No development or other options are available. 2. If so, what are the driver requirements for the Lenel system? Answer: See answer to #1. Interface Card: 1. What is the government?s intent and expectation for this card? Answer: As stated in the synopsis. 2. Is this a future requirement or should the bidder include this item with the quote? Answer: Include with quote. 3. Was your expectation that this card provide serial alarm point and text data via the Central Station to the Lenel system? Answer: No, it's to provide information for Fire Alarm points. 4. Does the Lenel System accept ASCII text strings? Answer: See Central Station answer #1 above. 5. Does ?existing? Fire or Security panel mean any Fire or Security panel on the open market, or ?existing? Fire or Security panels at this site. If at this site, please indicate which panel you anticipate this interface needs to be connected to. Answer: Any that may be chosen from industry standard models on the market. 6. Will the Government furnish the necessary driver in the Lenel system to process alarm data via text strings? Answer: See Central Station item #1 above. Site Tranceivers: 1. How many Site Transceivers with Solar Power are required with this solicitation? Section B.1: states a quanity of 13, while the Solicitation Description states 10. Answer: All quantities in Table B.1 are correct. Interface Cards: 1. Are the 5 Interface Cards in Section B.1 all that are required? Answer: All quantities in Table B.1 are correct. The due date for responses is not extended. Documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
