Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. HQ0423-05-T-0017 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). To obtain a copy of the RFQ to include the Statement of Work, contact the contract specialist, Cathy Beckstedt at (614) 693-0113 or by email at Cathy.Beckstedt@dfas.mil. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-04. This requirement is full and open with no restrictions and the associated NAICS code is 811212, Office Machine Repair & Maintenance and the small business size standard is $21.0 million. The requirement is for maintenance support services on 22 perforator machines located at the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), Columbus, OH. Manufacturers of the machines are ABE and Cummins. The services to be provided are preventive and remedial maintenance to include all labor and replacement parts. These operations shall be performed in accordance with the schedules provided in the Statement of Work in the solicitation. This is a total performance contract in that all contract requirements must be maintained at all times.. The resulting contract will be for one base year and include two (2) one-year option periods. The base year period of performance is to be October 1, 2005 through September 30, 2006 with inspection and acceptance at destination and F.O.B. destination. The following provisions apply to include any addenda - 52.212-1, Instruction to Offers ? Commercial; 52.212-2, Evaluation ? Commercial Items, 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications ? Commercial Items (offerors are to complete when returning their offer); 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions ? Commercial Items and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders ? Commercial Items apply to this acquisition. The Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) assigned rating is DO-C9.
