Description
This is a Market Survey to determine if there are adequate Hubzone, 8a, and or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses for this proposed contract. The contract is for the design and construction of a 23,400 SF Army Reserve Center Training Bu ilding to support training of 1400 soldiers. The building will be of permanent construction with reinforced concrete foundations, concrete floor slabs, structural steel frames, masonry veneer walls, standing seam metal roof, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and security systems. Supporting facilities include paving, fencing, security lighting, and force protection measures for the complex, general site improvements and extension of utilities to serve the project. This project is planned for advertisement in early October 2005 with an approximate award schedule of December 2005. NAICS code is 236220. The estimated cost range is between 5 and 10 million dollars. Contract duration time is 500 calendar days. 20 percent of the work is to be self performed. A ll interested small businesses should reply to this office in writing or by fax by 16 September 2005 at 1630 hours Louisville Local Time. Responses should include the identification and verification of company's small business status, the Past Experience describing up to five with a minimum of one completed projects that are similar in size scope and nature to the proposed project, the percentage of self performed work and how it was accomplished and provide references with name and number to verify perfor mance, the capability of obtaining performance and payment bonds for a project in the dollar amount listed above listing the surety and bonding company, and a statement verifying the contractor will perform 20 percent of the work and how it will be accompl ished. NOTE if qualified 8a, Hubzone, or Service Disabled Veteran firms do not respond this planned contract action may be converted to a full and open competition.
