Description
Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Charleston is issuing this market survey in support of the Submarine TB-16F Towed Array Module. The general requirements of the pressure sensor are as follows: The supply voltage shall be 12.0 to 16.0 Vdc. The sensor shall be protected from reverse voltage. The power, ground and signal leads shall be shunted through individual bi- directions transzorbs for suppression of line transients. The current required by the sensor shall be less than 35 mA. The resolution shall be at least 12 bit equivalent. The pressure sensor shall be an absolute pressure transducer which shall be calibrated for a TOTAL ACCURACY of +/-.675 PSI peak error from 0 to 2250 PSI. The sensor shall be capable of continuous RS-232, no display. The pessure sensor must be capable of operating in both synchronous and asynchronous modes. The unit shall operate as specified while immersed in Shell-SOL- 71, or Exxon NORPAR 12, or ISOPAR L for minium of 3 years and survive exposed to sea water for a period of 3 months over the full environment pressure range. The pressure sensor shall meet all performance criteria over the operating temperature range -4C to +40C. The sensor shall be no greater than 8.51 inches long and 2.1 inches high.
