Description

Description: Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Environmental Systems Research, Institute, ArcView and ArcGIS software maintenance support from 1 Oct 05 thru 30 Sep 06, 380 New York Street, Redlands, CA 92373-3811. The ArcView product type supports GeoSpatial Mapping requirements. ArcView software releases and upgrades are included and provide support to various systems located at USSTRATCOM. The 55th Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with FAR Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement was made because Environmental Systems Research Institute retains strict proprietary rights to this software product/service. Proprietary rights preclude access to full technical data, specifications, engineering descriptions, statements of work, or purchase descriptions suitable for full and open competition.
