Description
The U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) is contemplating full and open competition on the QOL Advocacy Assistance (QOL-AA) Program. The QOL-AA program consists of programs and initiatives offered by the Department of Defense (DOD), Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (OUSD), Military Community and Family Policy (MC&FP) Office to provide innovative options for approaching the challenges that military members and their families face on a daily basis. QOL-AA is intended to expand the availability of victim and shelter services for victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault in the Military Services. Shelter or safe houses are defined as facilities designated for temporary, emergency housing or other services for victims of domestic abuse and may be located on or off the military installation. The QOL-AA Program will provide Sexual Assault Response Coordinators and Victim Advocates for Military Departments to expand the availability of victim advocates and shelter services for victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault. Sexual Harassment and Assault Coordinators will assess issues, recommend changes to policy and law, prepare reports and recommendations, develops implementation plans and milestones on a variety of issues concerning sexual harassment and assault at military academies.
