Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; propos als are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. W912CZ-05-T-0073 is being issued as a Request for Quote, which incorporates provisions and clauses for commercial items in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-05. The asso ciated NAICS code for this acquisition is 325188 small business standard size is 1,000 employees. Line Item 0001: Potassium Permanganate, Quantity 475 (55 lbs drum), Line Item 0002: Sodium Carbonate, 50 lbs Container, Quantity 2,000. STATEMENT OF WORK ( SOW) FOR POTASSIUM PERMANGANATE (55 LBS) and SODIUM CARBONATE. Contractor shall provide all transportation and other necessary materials to supply this requirement for Potassium Permanganate used for oxidizing in water for the Water Treatment Plant, Bldg 3 565, Fort Wainwright, AK. The contractor shall also pick up empty drums from the same Bldg location when full drums are delivered. A) Approximate consumption will be approximately 22,000 minimum to 26,125 lbs maximum and 1,500 to 2,000 a year, respective ly. B) The contractor will be notified telephonically when more than 40 empty drums are on hand at the Water Plant, Bldg 3565. Upon notification, the contractor shall within four (4) calendar days deliver the drums/containers and remove the empty drums/c ontainers. C) All picks up and delivery under this contract will occur between 0800 and 1400 hours Monday thru Friday, and no delivery on Holidays. D) Names of persons authorized to place calls under this contract will be provided in the award. E) Upon i nitial delivery of the first time 40 (55 lbs drum) 96 (50 Lbs container), the Water Plant will provide empty potassium permanganate drums in exchange for full drums each delivery thereafter. F) Since empty drums will be exchanged for full drums, it is requ ested that this contract be offered without a deposit charge for drums. The following provisions in their latest editions apply to this solicitation: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, Commercial. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation, Commercial Items (a) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, lowest price technically acceptable and delivery. Offerors shall include a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3, Offerors Representations and Certifications-- Commercial Items, with their quotes. Offeror shall include a completed copy of DFARS 252.225-7000, Buy American Act Balance of Payments Program Certificate, if applicable. A copy of the Offerors Representations and Certifications and Buy American Act Balance of Payments Program Certificate may be obtained from http://farsite.hill.af.mil.
