Description

U.S. Naval Hospital, Okinawa, Japan (Bldg 6000, Camp Lester, Okinawa, Japan 904-0103) intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with Phillips for the preventive maintanance and servicing of ultrasound units. Maintenance and repair requirements are for FY 2006 (October 1, 2005 through September 30, 2006) plus 2 one-year options. The NAICS for this requirement is 811219 and the SIC is 7699. The contractor is responsbile for all transportation and lodging requirements and shall furnish all labor, parts, supplies and equipment necessary to provide full maintenance, emergency service, and periodic, preventive maintenance inspections for all equipment (HDI 5000: 2 each, HDI 3000: 1 each, PH 5000: 1 each, HDI 1500: 2 each, HDI 1000: 1 each). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 7 calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the contractor?s capability to provide and ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be e-mailed to the Contracting Officer, James Teruya, at teruyaj@oki10.med.navy.mil. No telephone requests will be accepted. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, U.S. Naval Hospital, Okinawa, Japan will proceed with the sole source procurement with Philips.
