Description

It is the intent of NAVAIR Orlando, Training Systems Division, Orlando, FL, to award a sole source contract to Caterpillar, Inc.,Peoria, IL (Cage Code 11083) in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government has a requirement for the following spare parts for the 21E19 Undersea training device: 158-0466, Engine Instrument Panel, 1 ea; 130-6196, Engine Vision Interface Module (EVIM), 1 ea; 132-8900, Engine Control Module, 1 ea; 141-2332 VCM, 1 ea; 141-1956, ITSM, 1 ea; 214-3464, Speed Simulator, 1 ea; 214-3463, Injector Simulator, 1 ea; This sole source award is based on Caterpillar, Inc. being the only manufacturer with the design, form, fit, and functional characteristics required and/or holding proprietary data, as these items were specifically selected for use in interfacing with other device components in the 21E19 trainer.
