- Notice of intent to award a sole source procurement under FAR Part 12.203 to Harris Corporation, RF Communications Division to provide an AN/PRC-117F Advanced Multiband Multimission Tactical Radio with accessories to the R. I. Army Aviation Support F acility. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, the Government will negotiate directly with the Harris Corporation RF Communications Division. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This requirement is considered sole source given that Harris is the only known manufacturer of the AN/PRC-117F radio and no other supplies or service will satisfy age ncy requirements. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. This notice is for information only. It is neither a request for proposals nor a solicitation for offers. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 334220 with a size standard of 750 employees. Responses to this notice must be submitted within 7 days after this posting. Interested sources may identify their interest and c apability to respond to the requirement. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. Response to this synopsis is not required.
