Description: The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD intends to negotiate and award a Delivery Order (DO) under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-05-G-0015 with General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products, Burlington, Vermont. This DO shall procure a Level III drawing package for the AH-1Z 20MM Turret assembly in support of U.S. Navy and Marine Corps assault support rotary-wing and fixed-wing aircraft gun systems. This DO shall be issued on a sole source basis to GDATP, the sole designer, developer and original equipment manufacturer of the M61A1/A2, GAU-12, M197 and associated gun system hardware. Additionally, under the current destructive device regulations of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, General Dynamics is the only certified manufacturer of the above-specified aircraft cannons.
