Description

The White Sands Directorate of Contracting in support of the U.S. Army Intelligence Center intends to award a contract to Securimetrics, 757 Arnold Dr., Suite D, Martinez, CA 94553 on a sole source basis. The contract is for the purchase of 763 v.2. 3 Portable Iris Enrollment and Recognition (PIER) devices. The PIER manufactured by Securimetrics is the only stand-alone iris scanner that will work with the Biometric Automated Toolset (BAT) configured by USAIC. The use of any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that cannot be recovered through competition and would result in unacceptable delays. Interested parties must submit a statement of interest and qualification no later than 2:00 pm MT on 22 Sep 2005. See Note 22.
