Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota, hereinafter referred to as the VAMC, has a requirement for Blood Bank Reagents and is seeking sources who can provide the following: ID-MTS Gel Cards, Anti-IgG (rabbit); Resolve Panel A 0.8%; Resolve Panel B, 0.8%; and Surgiscreen 0.8% ? as manufactured by OrthoClinical Diagnostics a J&J Company, or equal. The use of brand name is meant to be descriptive but not restrictive. These products have been previously tested and used by the VA Laboratory Service and have been found to be acceptable. If contractor is offering other than brand name he is required to submit clear and convincing evidence that product(s) offerred is/are ?equal? to the brand name. Vendor may be required to submit bid samples at no cost to the government. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded to the offeror providing the best value to the government. It is anticipated that a four (4) year contract, consisting of a Base Year and four 12-months options will be awarded. The contract period will begin on or about January 1, 2006 and continue through December 31, 2009. RFQ-618-77-06 has been assigned to this solicitation and bid documents will be available on or about September 21, 2005. Solicitation and award procedures under Federal Acquisition Regulations FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13 will be followed for this procurement. FSC Code 65 applies and the NAICS Code is 325413, Laboratory Diagnostic Substances, and the Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees or less. Response to this solicitation is due by October 26, 2005, 4:30pm Central Time. Solicitation documents are attached to this FedBizOpps Announcement.
