Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO PURCHASE ON A SOLE SOURCE BASIS. HQINSCOM has a requirement for purchasing six (6) each 45 Degree Angle Lens (Goggle) MDL 1195273 and six (6) each Heads Up D isplay MDL 19287-000 CV3 Dual Eye 640 x 480 from FLIR Systems, Inc., 16 Esquire Road, North Billerica, MA. FLIR Systesm is the only known responsible source that can meet this requirement. The Government intends to acquire this via a commercial item cont ract using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may sumit their capabilities and qualifications to supply the items via email to asspitz@inscom.army.mil no later than 4:30 p.m., 27 September 20005. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated sole ly for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based on the responses to this notice, is solely within the disc retion of the government.
