Description

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Austin Automation Center (AAC), Austin, TX intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Compuware Corporation for continued annual software maintenance support for their proprietary software products, AbendAid and FileAid. No other source is available, accordingly, the award will be made as a commercial acquisition under FAR Part 12 using FAR 13.106-1(b). The software are installed on an IBM 2064-2C5 at the AAC. The period of performance is FY 2006 (10/1/05 through 9/30/06). Software maintenance includes providing updates, releases and reasonable technical support. No solicitation documents are currently available and requests for such will not be acknowledged. If one is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. The determination to open competition based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government.
