Description

The purpose of this amendment is for questions and answers that apply to this action. Q. The architecture will connect the three BTSs to the MSC via what means? Cable? GFE microwave, satellite? Or are three BTSs to be collocated with the MSC? A. An IP connection will be established between the three BTSs and the MSC which gives the option o f co-locating the BTSs with the MSC or remoting as needed. Q. The desire coverage area is how large? A. 5 to 10 mile radius. No antenna masts are specified. Q. Will those be GFE? A. Antenna's are GFE. Q. If, as answered below, no GSM Extender is required, then please clarify the meaning of this in the RFP: The system must have a No Backhaul Required Expansion site to allow the RF footprint to be increased without the need for microwave radios or other transmission mediums. A. Not required. Q. I did not se e the specification for the antenna coverage listed in your RFP and this an important design feature. Is it 35, 65, 110 degree sectoral coverage and do you require electrical or mechanical down-tilt on the antennas? A. The antenna's are GFE, we are utilizing both OMNI as well as directional antenna's. Our masts extend approximately 40'. We require coverage of a 5 to 10 mile radius. All questions shall be submitted by 13:00 PM EST today.
