Description

This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS / SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) Q1574060005. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. FAR clauses and provisions enclosed within this RFQ are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-05 and are available in full text through Internet access at http://www.arnet.gov/far. The National Park Service encourages the participation of small, disadvantaged and women owned business enterprises. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 532490 and the small business size standard is $6.0. The following is a description of the requirements for this acquisition: ITEM #0001: Rental of three (3) John Deere 9420T Tractor or equivalent to be used as snow groomer for the 2006 winter. The tractors are needed at the following location by November 18th, Two (2) at Mammoth and one (1) at West Entrance. The tractors are expected to be used on the park roads through the end of March. Yellowstone National Park will only guarantee payment for 100 hour per machine. The Lessor agrees not to sale or substitute the tractor (unless it's due to repairs) any of the three tractor until the lease period ends. The park agrees to perform recommended maintenance, such as oil and filter changes, but all repairs will be made by the lessor. The lessor will be required to respond within 24 hours of being contacted. GOVERNMENT ONLY GUARANTEES 100 HOURS PER MACHINE. MAXIMUM USAGE PER MACHINE IS 600 HOURS. ITEM #0002: Delivery to Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone National Park by November 18, 2005. Also pickup at same location within 10 days of pickup call. Approximate end date is March 6, 2006.
