Description
The Allied Joint Force Command Naples has issued a Notification of Intent for an Invitation for International Bidding (IFIB) for Real Life Support at Ar Rustamiyah for NTM-I HQ Baghdad. The contractor will provide all resources; personnel, equipment and management necessary to provide Real Life Support/Base Support Operations at the Iraqi Military Academy Rustamiyah (IMAR) in support of NATO associated staff. The contract value is estimated at 1.5 million euros or $1.8 million. Firms interested in competitive bidding are only eligible to compete if they have been properly screened and have been licensed to execute NATO contracts. Firms that do not have their place of business in one of the following NATO member countries are excluded from competitive bidding: Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Federal Republic of Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States. This also applies to subcontractors and to members of combines. Interested firms must be nominated by their National Authorities with the required Declaration of Eligibility. REQUESTS FOR PARTICIPATION RECEIVED DIRECTLY FROM FIRMS CANNOT BE CONSIDERED. IMPORTANT DEADLINES 1. Final date for the U.S. Department of Commerce to submit a Declaration of Eligibility (nomination letter) on your behalf: 15 October 2005. 2. Anticipated date that the Invitation for International Bidding (IFIB) will be issued and the required tender documents will be forwarded to those applicants accepted to the Bidder List: 21 October 2005. AJFC Naples will email the IFIB directly to all potential bidders and will post the tender on the its website: www.nato.int/shape/community/budfin/index.htm CERTIFICATION THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE DOES NOT SERVE AS THE CONTRACTING AGENCY FOR NATO PROJECTS. HOWEVER, ALL FIRMS WHOSE FACILITY IS LOCATED WITHIN THE UNITED STATES MUST BE CERTIFIED BY THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE IN ORDER TO QUALIFY TO BID FOR THIS PROCUREMENT. The contracting entity is the Allied Joint Force Command Naples. Only firms that the U.S. Department of Commerce has certified as eligible will be allowed to bid. A Declaration of Eligibility (nomination letter) will be submitted on their behalf by the Department of Commerce to the contracting entity.
