Description
THIS MODIFICATION IS TO INFORM THE CONTRACTING COMMUNITY THAT THIS PROJECT WILL BE ADVERTISED ON A FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. This project will consist of reconstruction, grading, drainage, mechanically stabilized earth wall, aggregate base, superpave asphalt concrete pavement and guardrail on 9.748 kilometers of roadway for CA PFH 119-2(4), Oroville-Quincy Highway in Plumas National Forest, Butte County, California. The estimated price range is over $12,000,000.00. This project contains one schedule. Principal work items include: 9.748 km slope, reference, and clearing and grubbing stakes; 84 ea drainage structure survey and staking; 19.496 km grade finishing stakes; lump sum contractor testing; 8,670 m fiber rolls, 450 mm diameter; 19,100 m3 watering for dust control; 24.3 ha clearing and grubbing; 165,000 m3 roadway excavation; 24,500 m2 biaxial geogrid; 830 m2 shoring and bracing; 1,195 m3 placed riprap (various class); 2,030 m2 mechanically stabilized earth wall; 37,900 metric tons aggregate base; 1,000 metric tons asphalt cement grade PBA-4; 15,500 metric tons superpave asphalt concrete pavement, 12.5 mm nominal maximum size aggregate, 0.3 to 3 million ESALs, type 1 pavement smoothness (smoothness incentive); 400 metric tons minor hot asphalt concrete; 70 metric tons prime coat grade CSS-1, CSS-1h, SS-1, or SS-1h; 800 metric tons blotter; 1,630 m pipe culvert (various size); 400 m standard underdrain system; 8,500 m2 asphalt paved ditch; 2,170 m guardrail system G4, type 1, class A (wood posts); 20,985 m3 placed conserved topsoil; 17.6 ha seeding, hydraulic method; 49,950 m2 erosion control mat, type 2; 15,214 hours traffic control; along with associated surveying and staking, removal of structures and obstructions, end sections for pipe culverts, asphalt concrete curbing, equipment, mulching, and traffic signals and barriers.
