Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, has a requirement set aside for small business for the refurbishment of approximately 125 Heavyweight Torpedo Shapes and associated equipment to include Plastic Media Blast, Surface Repair and Painting. The Shapes consist of Launch Vehicles, Fitment Shapes, Training Shapes, Presettable Launch Vehicles and Dummy Launch Vehicles. The Fitment Shapes and Launch Vehicles are one piece steel shells approximately 19 feet long and the remaining Shapes are made up of aluminum sections, that when assembled are also 19 feet long. All Shapes/sections are 21 inches in diameter. PMB operators must be qualified in Amen Strip Test. The Contractor shall deliver the Torpedo Shapes and/or individual components to NUWDIVNPT locations specified in individual task orders. The facility is required to be within 50 miles of NUWCDIVNPT. This will be a five year ID/IQ Firm Fixed Price contract. Evaluation factors are technical approach, past performance, and facilities. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Instead, they may be accessed at our web site http://www.npt.nuwc.navy.mil/contract/. We also provide electronic access in our Bid Room. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (24-JUN-2005). IT ACTUALLY APPEARED OR REAPPEARED ON THE FEDBIZOPPS SYSTEM ON 30-SEP-2005, BUT REAPPEARED IN THE FTP FEED FOR THIS POSTING DATE. PLEASE CONTACT fbo.support@gsa.gov REGARDING THIS ISSUE.
