Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with Raytheon McKinney, TX for the procurement of MH-60R Multispectral Targeting System Detecting Set, Infrared AN/AAAS-44C (V), Units Under Test (UUTs) WRAs. UUTs to be procured are as follows: Qty 2- Turret Unit (Receiver-Transmitter, Laser RT-1735B/AS-44(V) minus the nameplate and system software), P/N 4981950-1; Qty 2- Electronic Unit (C-12393A), P/N 4974204-1; Qty 2- Power Assembly (PP-8535), P/N 4981929-1. The FLIR UUTs are a support equipment tool to be used in the development of OTPS support equipment. These associate OTPSs will be employed utilizing Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS). The proposed acquisition is for Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) for which the Government does not own drawings or specification. Raytheon McKinney holds the proprietary rights to the UUTs and is the developer and manufacturer of the MTS system (AN/AAS-44C (V)). NAWCADLKE intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. No solicitation package is available for this procurement. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See note 22.
