Description

The US Army Field Support Command intends to issue a firm fixed price sole source contract to Armil/C.F.S. Inc., for the purchase of one each Flashing Furnace for APE 2048 at the Korean Demil Facility. The system includes the furnace, conveying syst em, insulation, combustion system, electrical, and instrumentation. The furnace system is used to flash residual amounts of explosive from the bodies of projectiles and bombs. The flashing occurs when the interior of the munition body is heated to 500 de grees F. This procurement will have a base with a 300% option quantity. This contract is a follow-on acquisition for the continued fabrication of highly specialized equipment. This equipment has been approved by the USA for the Republic Of Korea environ ment based on extensive testing meeting the requirements of existing equipment in the Korean Demil Facility. Interested parties shall identify their interest in writing and must include prices and descriptions containing sufficient technical documentation to establish capability to meet the requirements. All interested firms that can meet the requirements set forth above are requested to submit responses, but only in writing with clear and convincing documentation within 15 days of publication of this anno uncement to: US Army Field Support Command, ATTN: AMSFS-CCA-IP, Ms. Sally Winn, Rock Island, IL 61299-6500. If no responses clearly demonstrate another vendors ability to meet the Governments requirements, a contract will be awarded to Armil/C.F.S. In c.
