Description
The US Army TACOM-ARDEC, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ is looking to purchase a Duel-Channel Infrared Radiometer that can be used in both the laboratory and for field measurements. Desired specifications for this instrument are as follows: 1) should be able to measure infrared energy in the 1.5-5 micron band. 2) Each channel must have the ability to accept 1-inch round diameter filters. 3) Each band will have lenses that enable both the channels to measure radiant intensities of several hundred watts/sr up to 2 Km from the radiometer. We envision FOV???s ranging from 2 degrees to 20 degrees. Separate lenses for different FOV???s are acceptable. 4) The instrument will have a visible light bore sight system that enables the user to see the infrared detectors field of view on an external monitor. 5) The instrument will come with software that enables the user to calibrate the instrument and perform radiometric calculations on the sources being measured. 6) The system will have the ability to perform up to 5,000 measurements per second.
