- Description
- Forest Service requires the construction of a bunkhouse facility at the Boundary Creek Administrative site. The Project consists of, but is not limited to, the construction of a two story, 1320 total sq.ft. bunkhouse, installing solar power for lights, washer, and receptacles, providing propane appliances and some lights; 180 lft (approx) of road 14? wide native surface, a 5 vehicle parking lot native surface, 50 lft (approx) of 4? wide gravel path; installing a 1000 gal septic tank, an in-trench sand filter absorption field, 140 lft (approx) new water line replacing plumbing appurtenances at existing water line utility box (tee location for new line), and installing a new propane tank. The project is located on the Middle Fork Ranger District, Salmon-Challis National Forest, Valley County, Idaho. The completion date for this project will be October 15, 2006. Normal construction season for the Boundary Creek area is from June 1 to October 15, weather may allow for a longer season. The Contractor will not be allowed to plow open the road to begin work early or to extend the fall construction window beyond the normal construction season. If heavy snows occur after June 1 or prior to October 15 the contractor may open road to retrieve supplies and equipment. A site visit is scheduled for October 20, 2005. Contractors are to meet at the Yankee Fork Ranger District Office at 10:00 a.m. Please notify Susan Graves at 208-756-5138 by no later than noon on October 19, 2005 if you plan to attend. Proposals are due at 3:00 p.m. MST, March 21, 2006. The estimated price range is $100,000 to $250,000. The solicitation will be available on approximately February 18, 2006, and can be downloaded from this site at that time. All responsible vendors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database. You may register at www.ccr.gov.
