Description
A pre-solicitation (797-NC-05-0065) from the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) for Iodine Swabs & Wipes under the Federal Government is being offered to Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The Federal Government defines a SDVOSB as an entity having 500 employees or less, including affiliates. SDVOSB must have the ability to provide Iodine Swabs & Wipes to VA Facilities, in all 50 states including Puerto Rico and Hawaii. The annual quantity previously was 2,318,400. The dollar value was $93,173.73. These figures were taken from earlier contracts that had expired within the last 6 months to a year. SDVOSB will be required to make deliveries to any VA facilities within 10-15 days from date of request. This procurement will be based on a technically acceptable evaluation of samples by an evaluation team to be established by the Director of National Standardization. Samples and supporting documentation will be requested by the Contracting Staff of the National Acquisition Center (NAC). The NAC is requesting 1 Box (or a minimum 100 each) Iodine Pads and Swabs to evaluated. In addition, please forward six (6) sets of literature and documentation for the products submitted. A minimum of two (2) of these sets of literature and documentation must be cross-referenced to show where compliance with each of the product criteria is referenced. If there is no reference to a given product criterion in the literature, the offeror must submit documentation showing that the criterion has been met and how it was met. This should be submitted on the letterhead of the offeror with signature, title, email address, and phone number of the preparer. PADS: 1). Pads must be sterile and individually wrapped (Literature review and inspection). 2.) Made in Synthetic/Cotton Composition (literature review and inspection). 3.) Swabs must be composed of 10 percent Providone/1 percent Iodine (Literature for review and physical inspection). 4.) Packets must be easy to open (Literature review). 6.) Industry standard sizes for pads (Literature review). (see numbered note 29). SWABS: 1.) Swabs must be sterile (Literature Review). 2.) Made with synthetic/cotton composition (literature review). 3.) 10 percent Providone/1 percent Iodine (literature review). 4.) Packets must be easy to open (physical inspection). 5.) Single and/or triple swabs per package (literature review and physical inspection). 6.) Industry standard sizes for swabs per package (literature review). 7.) Swab stick length 3.5 ? 4 inches (Physical Inspection). 8.) Single Swab packet (Literature review and physical Inspection). 9.) Triple Swab Packet (Literature review and Physical inspection).
