- Description
- The Air Armament Center, Special Projects Group (AAC/SPG), located at Eglin AFB, FL has posted the Small Diameter Bomb Increment II DRFP1 (FA8681-05-R-0272) to the FedBizOpps website for review, comments, and questions by Industry. The selected acquisition strategy is to purchase SDB Increment II as an All Up Round (AUR) weapon system. The Government intends to have extensive multiple exchanges of information with industry before the receipt of proposals so as to foster the purposes of FAR 15.201(a) through (d) while complying with the limitations of subparagraph (f). To facilitate this process a two hour Industry Day session, open to all interested vendors, is scheduled for 20 Sep at 0800-1000. The purpose of Industry Day is to review and discuss comments to the first issuance of the DRFP. Following the open session, one-on-one meetings with AUR potential prime offerors will be held through 22 Sep to discuss their unique comments to the DRFP. Each session is limited to 4 hours. This announcement is for information purposes only. It does not constitute an RFP and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. To participate in the Industry Day exchange of information, contact Jon Costello ‘jon.costello@eglin.af.mil’, or Lt Lyle Peters ‘lyle.peters@eglin.af.mil’ at (850) 882-7321 exts 3099/2218 for further information. Written comments to the DRFP are due no later than 1200CST 16 Sep 05 to allow sufficient Government review time prior to Industry Day. Open and one-on-one comments should be separated and clearly marked. Submit DRFP comments by e-mail to ‘chris.altman@af.mil’ or FAX at (850)883-1661. You are reminded to monitor the ‘www.fedbizopps.gov’ site for the release of any follow-on information. Interested sources having applicable capability, and background as a prime AUR weapon system contractor should contact M. Christine Altman, (850) 882-7321 ext 2769 to receive technical information relevant to this effort.
