Description
This is a special notice of intent to award a Nonappropriated Fund Purchase Agreement (NPA) to the Educational Institute (EI)of the American Hotel & Lodging Association to provide web-based commercial hospitality education and training to HQ Air Force Services Agency. The U.S. Air Force Services Agency will be provided web-based resources for commercial hospitality training to include safety, customer service, front desk operation, housekeeping, supervising, accounting, other hotel and lodging related requirements; and associated maintenance and support. All training components are delivered on-line as a Web-Based Training (WBT) solution. The program provides a comprehensive, on-line administrative module and training module for the U.S. Air Force Inns using the World Wide Web. The administration module includes a complete training management system to include, a registration system to allow users to enroll on-line for all courses. The registration module ties all course offerings to the administration module to track all enrollments. Browser based registration management allows access to all courses on system or can be modified to limit course offerings by brand or property type. Key requirement is 24/7 access to the system with immediate course availability upon registering. The results analysis module is web-based interface to access real-time, on-line data to include but not limited to the total number of employees enrolled, a breakdown by course system, breakdown by individual course, drill-down for individual results on quizzes and exams by course. The training module courses are hospitality specific. Courses come complete with on-line review quizzes at the end of each chapter and on-line final exam. Review quizzes and exams are graded on-line and results are provided to the employee and training manager. Results viewed on the web can be customized. Courses contain interactive examples generated by course content to include, matching, drop & drag and spreadsheet style modules that provide the user feedback based on their selections. Full-length videos are also available to be viewed on the computer. Safety courses include regulatory-compliant, safety education courses covering topics, such as, Back Safety, Blood borne Pathogens, Chemical Safety, Driver Safety, Electrical Safety, Fire Safety, Ladder Safety, and Slips, Trips & Falls, and feature downloadable ?Certificate of Completion? upon completion of each course. This is a nonappropriated fund purchase and it does not obligate appropriated funds of the United States Government. Nonappropriated fund are generated by the military community through the sale of goods and services and the collection of fees and charges for participation in military community programs. This purchase does not involve federal tax dollars.
