- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number W912NR-06-R-0001 is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acqu isition Circular 2005-04. This solicitation is unrestricted. The NAICS code is 485999. The Louisiana National Guard has a requirement for shuttle service for approximately two hundred and fifty (250) employees. The service period will be for one base ye ar after award and four (4) one year options. Route will be from Metairie, Louisiana to Carville, Louisiana (approximately eighty five (85) miles one way) on a Monday through Friday schedule. Pick up and departure times will be as follows: 6:00 am pick u p from Metairie, Louisiana and 4:00 pm departure from Carville, Louisiana. The times listed are to accommodate a 7:30 am to 4:00 pm work schedule. Proposals shall include a plan for reserve/back-up vehicles, vehicle types and options, driver qualifications and duties, any provisions for a guaranteed ride home (due to an unplanned illness/emergency), and insurance coverage. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated.
