Description

The US Special Operations Command, TAKO, intends to award a sole source commercial services contract to Summit Aviation, Middletown DE. The requirement is for the removal of Special Operations unique equipment from MH-47D aircraft prior to their induction into the Service Life Extension Program. This is not a request for proposal. The authority cited to restrict competition is U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1; Only One Responsible Source and no Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Summit Aviation and Boeing Aircraft have a contractural relationship that impacts aircraft preparation for the SLEP. No other vendor has the relationship and facilities necessary for SLEP induction preparation. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. Proposals must be submited to this office no later than 2:00pm local time, 15 November 2005. Note 22.
