Description

Work will provide emergency stream bank erosion protection for Fairway Lane and consists of (1) installation of two 42 reinforced concrete pipes under Fairway Lane with segmental walls, and stone inlet and riprap outlet protection; (2) removal of on e 42 corrugated metal pipe from under Fairway Lane; and (3) restoration of Fairway Lane. Work involves protecting existing sewer lines, water lines and a power pole from damage during construction. Any damage to Fairway Lane caused by construction operati ons shall be repaired. Erosion control measures include seeding and erosion control matting. A temporary detour and staging area will be provided by the City of Mount Airy. the magnatude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Payment and Performa nce bonds will be required. the Solicitation will be provided in a printed hard copy form. Electronic medium for the solicitation will not be allow.
