Description

THIS IS A SOURCE SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY FOR PURPOSES OF CONDUCTING MARKET RESEARCH. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THE TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. The Southern Region Center-East, Fort McPherson, Georgia is conducting market research to determine the extent of small business sources capable of performing as prime contractors for Dining Facility Attendant (DFA) only; the contractor will not provide full food services. The Government, not the contractor, w ill retain the responsibility for food procurement, storage, and receipt; menu planning; food preparation; cooking and baking; and the management and overall operation of all dining facilities. There are five (5) dining facilities currently in operation lo cated in two different states, on Ft Campbell, KY. There are another six (6) dining facilities that are expected to re-open upon re-deployment of soldiers to Ft. Campbell, Ky. Re-deployment is anticipated to be in November/December 06. The contract manag ers office is located in Tennessee. Offerors are invited to consult with their tax advisor/accountant on the impact this may have on their proposals. Requirement will encompass a Base year and 4 one-year for a total of five years. The Government anticip ates award of a firm fixed-price requirements contract resulting from this solicitation. The anticipated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 722310; small business size standard is $17.5 Million. The Governm ent will not reimburse any concern for any information that is submitted in response to the Source Sought request. Any information submitted is voluntary. Firms submitting responses should indicate whether they are small, small disadvantage, 8(a), HUB Zo ne, veteran owned, or woman owned. All small business concerns are required to submit a written Capabilities Statement demonstrating ability to perform the following; 1. The capability to manage DFA services similar in scope to the above requirement. Smal l Business concerns shall identify the largest contracts performed over the last five years with a description of what each contract provided, dollar value of each contract, and a point of contact with a telephone number at the contracting activity for eac h contract. Small Business concerns shall indicate whether they served a prime contractor or subcontractor on the reference contract.; 2. Gross annual receipts for the past three years; and 3. Past performance information demonstrating relevant past exp eriences in any of the functional task areas referenced above. All interested business concerns are required to respond to this SOURCE SOUGHT announcement via email by 21 November 2005. Response shall not exceed 12 pages and must include company point of contact, email address, telephone number and fax number. The information provided in response to this SOURCE SOUGHT announcement will be used to finalize the acquisition strategy for this requirement. Large Business concerns are not prohibited from respo nding to this announcement and are not required to submit capabilities statement.
