Description

Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL), operated by Princeton University under contract to the U.S. Department of Energy, is seeking interested sources to provide technical and budgetary cost information for an Enterprise SSL VPN appliance computer to attach plug-and-play to our existing network, which will allow secure, encrypted remote access to our local area network using a standard web browser. Specific requirement include: 1. Stand alone rack-mountable appliance computer with SSL VPN pre-configured 2. Minimum of two 2 physical Gbit network connections 3. Support for up to 100 concurrent VPN connections 4. Support for common operating systems (Windows, MacOSX, Linux, Unix) 5. Support for common web browsers (mozilla, Firefox, Safari, etc) 6. Support for RSA SecurID user authentication 7. GUI-based administration tools to allow for easy configuration and management 8. Optional endpoint inspection (virus definitions, patch levels, etc) of VPN client systems. 9. Proven reliable technology with good customer references 10.No requirement for custom client software installation This is a Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought Notice and is not a request for proposal/request for quotation (RFP/RFQ). This information is being sought at this time for decisional purposes and will not be the basis for award of any contract. To be considered by PPPL, responses to this RFI must be received on or before November 23, 2005.
