- THIS IS A TOTAL HUBZone SET-ASIDE IAW FAR 52.219-3. BIDS RECEIVED FROM CONCERNS THAT ARE NOT HUBZone SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS SHALL NOT BE CONSIDERED. The Stinger Missile Wooden Container is a unique item designed and built to specific requirements to ensure safeguard of the missile and meeting all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements. The container must meet special drop test and transportation vibration requirements to ensure safe storage and transportation of the Stinger missile. The c ontainer has special packing inside that is cut to exact specifications to ensure secure storage during transportation. The builder of the container must provide certification that all storage requirements of vibration dampening and G-force loading durin g drop tests has been met. This testing must be performed in accordance with the drawing package requirements and by/with certified equipment. NSN: 8140-01-024-9981. P/N: 11509503. Technical drawing package will be provided. Basic Quantity: 318 each, w ith an option to purchase up to a maximum of 4,000 additional containers. The option may be exercised by written notice to the contractor at any time up to but not later than 2 years after contract award. The option may be exercised any number of times w ithin this period provided that the cumulative total of the quantity exercised shall not exceed 4,000 containers. Delivery of basic quantity required as follows: 30 Nov 06 10 each, 31 Dec 06 30 each, 31 Jan 07 50 each, 28 Feb 07 60 each, 31 Mar 07 60 each, 30 Apr 07 60 each, 31 May 07 48 each. Containers will be shipped to Tuscon, AZ. Deadline for submitting bids will be on or about 30 Dec 2005. Requests related to this acquisition should be directed to Kenneth Bruton, Contract Specialist.
