Description

The General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service, Mid Atlantic Region intends to issue a request for proposal on a sole source basis to Diversified Engineering under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The requirement is for the redesign and the reprogramming of the riser panel replacement project at the Social Security Administration's (SSA) National Computer Center (NCC) in Woodlawn, MD with an option for construction administration services. The original design for the project was awarded to Diversified under a supplemental term contract in 1997 and was completed in 2004. Prior to the solicitation of a construction firm, a requirement exits for the original design to be revised and updated. As the engineer of record, Diversified has exclusive knowledge of the original design. The synopsis constitutes the synopsis of the construction administration services. Numbered note 22 applies.
