Description
NAICS Code: 541620 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Climate Protection Partnerships Division (CPPD) in Washington, DC intends to award a Purchase Order to Affordable Comfort, Inc. (ACI) of Waynesburg, PA under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The purpose of this procurement is to provide conference sponsorship support for three regional ACI conference events: Profiting with Home Performance Conference on December 14, 2005 in Stockon, CA, RESNET - ACI Home Performance Conference February 27-March 1, 2006 in San Antonio, TX and the Home Performance with Energy Star Symposium May 22-23, 2006 in Austin, TX. These conferences will provide technical training and share experiences regarding many aspects of improving residential energy-efficiency through home performance contracting. Also, these conferences will provide a forum for the exchange of information regarding Home Performance with ENERGY STAR implementation issues and recruitment of new participants. Under this Purchase Order, EPA will be provided with (1) up to twenty conference registrations to the pilot events and/or the annual conference; (2) recognition as a sponsor on promotional materials (brochures, program book, resource guide, invitations, hand-out materials, press releases) for each event; (3) a pre-event and final list of participants for each event; (4) meeting space for the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR symposium in Austin; (5) EPA's Home Performance with ENERGY STAR will be highlighted in the conference brochure and conference program book with descriptive information; (6) facilitation of the logistical arrangements for the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR symposium; and (7) evaluation reports will be compiled delivered for the Profit with Home Performance pilots, the RESNET ACI technical track and the annual conference. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541620. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirement as stated herein may submit their corporate capabilities, which if received by the response date of this announcement may be considered. Responses to posting must be in writing. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
