Description

Under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) the Minneapolis VA Medical Center (VAMC) anticipates entering into a sole source procurement with Dictaphone, Inc., Service Support Center, 3984 Pepsi Cola Drive, Melbourne, FL 32934 for a hardware and software maintenance contract for the period from January 1, 2006 to September 30, 2006. The VAMC has a requirement for maintenance/repair services, including all parts, labor, and software upgrades to r the Dictaphone Powerscribe systems located at Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System, 4101 Woolworth Ave., Omaha, NE 68105 and VA Medical Center, One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417, for proprietary reasons Dictaphone, Inc. is the only company that can provided the required service. These two installations are used by the imaging services at following VA Veterans Integrated Service Network 23 (VISN23) locations: 1) VA Medical Center, One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417, 2) VA Black Hills Healthcare System, 113 Comanche Road, Fort Meade, SD 57741, 4) VA Black Hills Healthcare Systems, 500 North 5th Street, Hot Springs, SD 57747, 5) VA Central Iowa Healthcare System, 1515 W. Pleasant St., Knoxville, IA 50138-3399, 6) VA Central Iowa Healthcare System, 3600 30th Street, Des Moines, IA 50310, 7) VA Medical Center, 2101 Elm Street, Fargo, ND 58102, 8) VA Medical Center, 601 Highway 6 West, Iowa City, IA 52246, 9) Nebraska-Western Iowa Healthcare System, 41-1 Woolworth Ave., Omaha, NE 68105, 10) Nebraska-Western Iowa Healthcare System, 600 S. 70th Street, Lincoln, NE 68510, 11) VA Medical Center, 2501 W. 22nd Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57117, 12) VA Medical Center, 4801 Veterans Drive, St. Cloud, MN 56303. It is believed, for proprietary reasons that Dictaphone, Inc. is the only company that can provided the required service. NAICS code is 541990 ? Professional, Scientific & Technical Services with a small business size of $6.0 Million. Solicitation and award procedures under Federal Acquisition Regulations FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13 for commercial items will be followed. It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price one year contract will be awarded. Solicitation number RFQ-618-90-05 has been assigned. Formal bid documents are not available.
