Description

The U.S. Geological Survey, Leetown Science Center, National Fish Health Research Laboratory (NFHRL), Kearneysville, WV has a requirement for Architecture and Engineering (A&E) services for preliminary investigations and review the engineering services for Bio Safety Laboratory Feasibility Study; preparation of detailed plans, specifications and drawings for NFHRL Tank Pad East and West areas construction/renovation project items; two-phase design - Phase one - Wet Laboratory design and Phase two - Disinfection design items; ensure that plans specifications and drawings are consistent and meet the guidelines for USDA APHIS laboratories using BSL-3 pathogens; check, verify, and approve shop and working drawings submitted by contractors; provide consultation and advice during the construction phase of the project; provide 2 sets of As-Built drawings. All recommendations in the design and construction of BSL-3 facilities will meet U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service design criteria. The end result of the construction/renovation will be a unique wet lab facility with the capacity to conduct research with BSL-3 pathogens on all life stages of freshwater fisheries. The total award amount will be made under the SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION THRESHOLD OF $100,000. All A&E firms who posses the training and experience to perform the requirements described in this announcement, are invited to submit a completed SF-330. Detailed information on consultants and subcontractors, if applicable, MUST be included in the submittal. Facsimile or electronic copies will be accepted. Please provide the following additional information on the form(s): Tax Identification Number (TIN) and DUNS number. All contractors doing business with the Government are required to register in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). For additional information, or to register with CCR, access http://www.ccr.gov.
