Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a time and materials contract to McDonnell Douglas Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company (Boeing), P.O. Box 516, St. Louis, MO, 63166 on an other than full and open competition basis for the efforts associated with the repair of Advanced Mission Computer and Displays (AMC&D) production ramp and EMD test assets. The estimated period of performance for this effort is 1 year. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Boeing is the prime integrator of the AMC&D, which is categorized as mission critical to the F/A-18E/F. Boeing is uniquely qualified to prioritize repairs based on F/A-18E/F platform integration, test and production schedules and assign engineering oversight as required to resolve technical, troubleshooting and integration issues. While this notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes, interested parties may identify their interest and technical capability to respond to this requirement and may submit information that shall be considered by the Naval Air Systems Command.
