- U S Army Field Support Command has a requirement for Minor Construction for Blue Grass Army Depot. The contractor shall furnish all labor, material, and equipment needed to remove an existing boiler at Building 571, provide and install two new fire tube steam process boilers and accessories to provide a complete operable system to replace the existing boiler system. AFSC intends to issue Request for Proposal, W52P1J-06-R-3005 approximately 20 Jan 2005. This contract will be restricted to small busi nesses under NAICS 236210 with $31.5M as the small business classification. The RFQ will be posted to the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Acquisition Business website: http://acquisition. Army.mil on or about 20 Jan 2006 and open 30 days from issuance . All contractors who provide goods/services to the Department of Defense (D0D) must be registered in the Central Contractors Register (CCR) and ORCA. If you are not registered in CCR, you cannot be awarded a DOD Contract. You may register via the Internet at: http://www.ccr.gov. Also, in a final rule contained in the Federal Acquisition Circular 01- 26 (Item I, FAR Case 2002-24) published in the Federal Register on December 20, 2004, the Federal Acquisition Regulation was amended to require offerors to su bmit representations and certifications electronically via the Business Partner Network. Offerors shall complete an Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) as soon as possible. This solicitation requires online certifications and repr esentations. Failure to complete the ORCA registration may make the offeror ineligible for award. The ORCA can be found at http://orca.bpn.gov. Interested firms are invited to submit Proposals after this solicitation is posted to the web. It will be the responsibility of the contractors to check these websites for the issuance and any changes to the solicitation. No hard copies are available.
