Description

The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and constructing the East Goose Creek Channel Improvement in Lafayette County, Mississippi. Principal features of work include mobilization and demobilization, clearing, eros ion control, excavation, R200 riprap, filter stone, engineering fabric, steel H-piles, four pre-cast concrete bridges, demolition and removal of existing wooden bridge, using the Government-furnished software (RMS) and providing all labor and equipment nec essary for electronic exchange of information and management of the contract (See Section 01312 QUALITY CONTROL SYSTEM), complying with all requirements of Section 01452 MILESTONE COMPLIANCE REVIEW PROCEDURE (MCRP), storm water pollution prevention and env ironmental protection. The estimated value of the proposed work is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Plans and specifications will be available on the Vicksburg Consolidated Contracting Office (VCCO) Web Page at http://www.mvk.usace.army.mil/cont ract/. Compact discs and hardcopies will not be available. Bidders should check the VCCO Web Page often for new solicitations and/or changes (AMENDMENTS) to existing ones. Issue date on or about 30 Dec 2005. Bid opening date on or about 31 Jan 2006, 1400 H ours. THIS PROCUREMENT IS UNRESTRICTED AND ISSUED UNDER NAICS CODE 237990. Funds are not presently available for this acquisition. No contract award will be made until appropriated funds are made available. (AFARS 1.602-2) Congress has appropriated limit ed funds through a Stop-Gap Continuing Appropriations Act. Accordingly, pending enactment of the FY 06 Energy and Water Development Appropriations Act and subsequent apportionment, we must reserve funds for contracts on a limited basis. The amount reserv ed for the contract resulting from this solicitation through 17 December 2005 is $5,000.00. After enactment of the Act and apportionment, we will advise in writing of the amount reserved for the contract resulting from this solicitation.
