- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 1 New England Healthcare System is currently seeking sources for a firm fixed price, indefinite delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ)contract from a qualified firm with the capability and capacity to provide hazardous, radiological and universal waste disposal services. Emergency spill response services, lab packs and removal of non-hazardous chemical waste from eleven VA Medical Centers and 36 Community Outpatient clinics located throughout the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 1). The selected firm will also be required to provide hazardous, universal waste and DOT training annually at selected locations within VISN 1. Firms must be knowledgable with the federal, state, local disposal guidelines and regulations governing regulated hazardous and non-hazardous chemical wastes and have the ability to transport, treat, dispose of and document services for removal of hazardous and non-hazardous chemical, radiological and universal waste from VA facilities located throughout New England. States involved include Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Interested firms must have current waste transporter permit(s), operator permit(s), list of current transfer stations, treatment, storage and disposal facilities, be able to provide copy of US EPA identification number certificates, copy of certificate of registration with State EPA as hazardous waste hauler, training certificates and all applicable licenses and insurances required. No telephone calls will be accepted. It is anticipated that a solictation will be issued on or after November 11, 2005.
