Description
Army Contracting Agency, The Americas intends on procuring services for food service in Suffolk, Virginia at the Joint War Fighting Center. This requirement is unrestricted. A single award will be made based on best value. Award will be conducte d under the provisions of FAR Part 12 Commercial Item and FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Request for proposal number W912CL-06-R-0002 applies. 1. OVERALL REQUIREMENTS: This Statement of Work (SOW) details the meals, and miscellaneous services, needed for US ARMY SOUTH, Blue Advance 06, Suffolk, VA; 1.1 Command Post Exercise (Base Option Period), 27 Feb  21 Mar 2006. 1.2 DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE (BASE PERIOD / 27 Feb  21 Mar 2006): Command Post Exercise (CPX) 2. MEALS: 2.1 Command Post Exercise (Base Period), 27 Feb  21 Mar 06: General. Scheduled meals are prepared according to predetermined menus. The KO or COR will identify individuals with dietary restrictions. The Service Contractor will strive to accommodate special diets where feasible and within contracted meal rates. Fo od served in Buffet style should be labeled. Two non-alcoholic juice, coffee, tea or beverage is included with meals. 2.2 Control Meal Badges (Colored/ Numbered Badges). Will be used in the Joint War Fighting Center dining rooms by registered participants. Meals will be paid on an actual use basis. 2.3 Schedule. Estimate of contracted meals for US personnel participants. Meals TOTAL: 11,600 2.3.1 Meal times. Times are subject to change: Breakfast: 7:30 a.m.  8:30 a.m. Lunch: 11:30 a.m.  1:00 p.m. Dinner: 5:00 p.m.  6:30 p.m. 3. CONTINGENCY FLEXIBILITY: 3.1 Consider the availability and cost of box lunches of up to (297 for lunch meals) per day if required. This is in addition to the possibility of catering lunch to another location for approximately 90 people. 3.2 The U.S. Government representative has the right add or delete from this SOW any change requirement to make this conference a success. Other modification may be negotiated as required, but only by the designated government representative. Evaluation: Selection will be based on best value to the government based on price and other non cost factors. Non cost factors include: Flexibility, convenience and menu selection of cater for breakfast, lunch and dinner; Non cost factors are consider ed but not more important than price. In the event numerous offers are received in response to this solicitation, the government reserves the right to down select to a manageable number (3 to 6) based on initial screening of the quotes received.
