Description
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is conducting a Sources Sought/Market Survey to locate organizations with the capability to facilitate reporting to the National Practitioner Data Bank and to improve patient safety by continuing development of the Prep 4 Patient Safety program. The Prep 4 Patient Safety program is a framework within which state medical, nursing and eventually other health professional licensing boards work with hospitals and other health care organizations to identify, remediate and monitor health care practitioners with deficiencies that cause concern but do not rise to the level of precipitating disciplinary action. It builds on work accomplished during Phase 1 and 2. The anticipated period of performance is two years. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 541690 and the small business size in dollars is $6.5M. Potential sources/interested parties shall provide relevant information which specifically demonstrates: 1)ability and appropriate staff to create and facilitate national working groups of uniquely qualified representatives(i.e. state licensing boards, state legislative bodies, state professional associations, risk managers etc.), 2)experience with formulating and drafting potential legislative language, 3)ability and appropriate staff to prepare and distribute educational materials, 4) ability and appropriate staff to analyze and revise materials, 5)ability to provide technical assistance and 6) ability to prepare and disseminate a public report. Documentation may include both Government and commercial contracts, references (names, telephone numbers and email addresses) and any other information serving to document the organization's capability. The submission must also include the small business size status. This is NOT a request for proposals and does not commit the Government to award of a contract now or in the future. Your submission must be received in this office by 12:00p.m. local time, Friday December 30, 2005 by delivery, surface mail or fax ONLY at the following address: HHS/HRSA/DPM, Attn: Daniel Matusiewicz, Parklawn Building, Room 13A-19, 5600 Fishers Lane, Rockville, MD 20857-5600; phone number 301.443.4703; fax 301.443.5462.
