Description

This synopsis is posted under solicitation number FA7000-06-R-0024, and replaces the combined synopsis/solicitation posted on 21 December 2005 under solicitation number FA7000-06-R-0020. All other information originally posted remains the same as follows: This is a synopsis for a non-commercial, firm fixed price, requirements contract to provide wood floor refinishing services. The project scope of work consists of the following: The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform repair, and refinishing of wood floors, stairs, stair treads, risers, hand railings, transition strips, thresholds, bleachers/benches, and wood flooring located in some recreation areas at the U. S. Air Force Academy, Colorado. Floor replacement, court striping, logos, and lettering shall also be required. The total magnitude of this contract is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The solicitation information will be posted on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) at www.eps.gov. No hard copies will be available. Pursuant to FAR 19.10, this project is being solicited unrestricted in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Service Disabled Veteran Owned business concerns are encouraged to submit bids. The small business size standard applicable to this project is $11,500.00 and the NAICS (North American Industrial Classification System) Code for this solicitation is 238330. A Small Business Subcontracting Plan is required to be submitted with proposals received from large businesses. In accordance with DOD policy, all prospective offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov/index.cfm. We anticipate issuing the solicitation on or about 23 December 2005 with a closing date on or about 3 January 2006, utilizing the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fedbizopps.gov/) for electronic posting.
